Frequently Asked Questions

Can I register as an individual?

Yes. We accept free agents or teams into the Tampa Women’s League. As long as there is room for players, you can sign up as an individual. If there are enough free agents, we will fill up a whole team. If not, we will place individuals on teams in need of players.

When and where are games held?

Games are held Sunday evenings at Police Athletic League of Tampa starting at 5pm. The 2019 Fall Season will start on August 18, 2019.

Are there team practices?

No. We do not schedule team practices. If teams want to arrange practice times, they may do so on their own.

How many seasons has the league been running?

We are going on eight seasons and over 200 athletes since 2015.

What do the league champions receive upon winning?

Champions will receive t-shirts commemorating their victory as well as discounted fees for the next season.

What are the fees for this season?

The 2018 Fall League fees are $60 per free agent, $460 per team of 7 or 8, and $440 per team of 9 or 10. Fees include gym, refs and jerseys.

Did I have to play in college to join the Tampa Women’s League?

No. We welcome all experience levels to the Tampa Women’s League. The majority of players played in high school and some level of college. We have had former WNBA and former/current overseas players play in the league as well.

Does the league offer game film?

Yes. We offer game film upon request PRIOR to the game.

Is there a fee to watch the games?

No. The games are free for spectators.
